Declarative Sentences کیا ہوتے ہیں؟
کسی بات، حقیقت یا راۓ کو بیان کرنے کے لیے جو جملے استعمال ہوتے ہیں انہیں declarative sentences کہتے ہیں۔ یہ بہت ہی بنیادی قسم کے جملے ہوتے ہیں جن کا مقصد کسی بات کو بیان کرنا ہوتا ہے۔ اس لیے ان کو statement بھی کہا جاتا ہے۔ اِس مضمون پر ہماری یہ ویڈیو بھی دیکھیں۔
ہر جملے کی طرح ان کا آغاز capital letter سے ہوتا ہے اور اختتام full stop یا period سے ہوتا ہے, جیسے:-
Declarative sentences کی دو (2) قسمیں ہوتی ہیں:-
- Affirmative Sentences
- Negative Sentences
affirmative کے اردو معنی ہیں: مثبت، اقراری۔ انگلش میں جملے یا تو مثبت ہوتے ہیں یا منفی۔ ہم بات چیت میں جو جملے استعمال کرتے ہیں اگر ان میں منفی پہلو نہ ہو تو وہ مثبت یعنی اقراری ہوتے ہیں۔ دوسرے الفاظ میں ہم زیادہ تر مثبت جملے استعمال کرتے ہیں۔ یہ سیکشن affirmative sentences کے بارے میں ہے۔ Affirmative Sentences تمام tenses میں بنتے ہیں۔ یہ simple, compound یا complex sentences ہو سکتے ہیں۔

Declarative (affirmative) جملے کیسے بنتے ہیں؟
ہمارے sentence structure والے سیکشن میں sentences بنانے کے طریقے پر تفصیل سے روشنی ڈالی گئی ہے۔ Affirmative Sentences بالکل اس ہی طریقے سے بنتے ہیں۔ آپ کی سہولت کے لئیے جملے بنانے کے طریقے کے اس حصے کو اختصار سے یہاں دوبارہ دہراتے ہیں۔
جملے زیادہ تر ان patterns پر بنتے ہیں:ـ
Subject + Verb
Aslam reads.
.Khalid plays
.She writes
ان جملوں میں سرخ رنگ میں دکھاۓ گۓ الفاظ subject ہیں اور subject کے بعد verb ہیں۔مختلف parts of speech کے الفاظ جملوں میں اضافہ کرنے کے لیے verb کے بعدلگاۓ جا سکتے ہیں۔ ان میں adverb لگایا جا سکتا ہے، جیسے Aslam reads slowly یا کچھ اور لگایا جا سکتا ہے یا Aslam reads slowly without specs.
Subject + Verb + Object
انگریزی میں یہ پیٹرن(Subject+Verb+Object) سب سے زیادہ عام ہے۔
ان جملوں میں اپنی ضرورت کے مطابق اضافہ کیا جاسکتا ہے۔object ایک سے زیادہ بھی ہو سکتے ہیں۔ دونوں object ڈایریکٹ بھی ہوسکتے ہیں، ایک direct اور ایک indirect بھی ہو سکتا ہے۔ Direct Object اور Indirect Object آگے پیچھے ہو سکتے ہیں۔

- Affirmative Sentences زیادہ تر subject یا subject phrase سے شروع ہوتے ہیں اور اسکے بعد verb لگتا ہے۔ عام طور پر adverbs, adjectives , objects ورب کے بعد لگتے ہیں مگر ضرورت کے مطابق صحیح معنی دینے کے لیے ان کو آگے پیچھے لگایا جاتا ہے۔انگریزی میں کوئی hard and fast rules نہیں ہیں۔ اصول ضرور ہیں، زیادہ تر ان پر عمل بھی ہوتا ہے مگر اصول سے ہٹ کر بھی جملے بنتے ہیں۔ آپ جتنی زیادہ practice کریں گے، جتنے زیادہ جملے دیکھیں گے اور سمجھیں گے اتنا ہی عبور آپ حاصل کریں گے۔
- Sentences میں الفاظ کو ایک ترتیب میں رکھیں۔ اوپر مختلف patterns بیان کیے گۓ ہیں۔ جملے ان کے مطابق بنائیں۔ ان میں ضرورت کے مطابق ردوبدل ہر وقت ممکن ہے۔
Subject Verb Agreement
Sentence بناتے وقت subject اور verb کا میچ ہونا بہت ضروری ہے۔ Subject اور verb کو تعداد (number) میں ایک جیسا ہونا چاہئیے یعنی subject اگر singular ہوگا تو verb بھی singular والا ہو گا اور subject اگر plural ہو گا تو verb بھی plural والا ہوگا:-

.The dogs growl when they are angry

Compound Declarative Sentences کی مثالیں
جیسا کہ ہم sentences section میں پڑھ چکے ہیں کہ دو independent clauses کو conjunction کے( جیسے and, but, or , so) ذریعےجوڑنے سے compound sentences بنتے ہیں۔
He wanted to play football, but she wanted to play basketball.

He had to make the next flight; he quickly packed her bag.
The house has new windows; however, the roof still leaks.
